Logic Pro provides software instruments, audio effects and recording facilities for music synthesis. In May 2023, Logic Pro for iPad was introduced and is available since May 23. On December 8, 2011, the boxed version of Logic Pro was discontinued, along with Logic Express, and as with all other Apple software for Macs, Logic Pro is now only available through the Mac App Store, or with a discounted Pro Apps for Education Bundle for students through the Apple Store online.

And also in same tab under general to allow apps downloaded from identified developers, but neither of these has a clickable option to allow the universal audio Apollo twin x interface. One of the suggestions was to allow permission to the Universal Audio device in the microphone preferences in Apple’s security & privacy tab.

I have tried several suggestions I have found on other dated forums, but I wasn’t sure if this is specific to the later Logic update 10.5.0 or not. I have record button depressed and have tried the “i” monitor button as well, even tho universal audio tells you to disable software monitoring because the processing of monitoring is done in the Apollo for zero latency. When I create a blank new project in Logic, and add a new audio track. I can see input signal and can even add unison plug in of Ampeg head for example no problems. In Universal Audio “Console” i/o matrix the 2 inputs show up correct, and I am able to get signal from input in console and I can hear for example my bass guitar plugged into hi z input #1 from the monitors. In Logic preferences, audio tab, the input and output device is set to Universal Audio Thunderbolt. It has the most up to date software 9.12.0 I bought a new interface, Universal Audio Apollo Twin X Quad, which is connected to iMac via an Apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter. I just recently bought a late 2012 iMac 27”.
